Harvey Harlow Nininger (1887-1986) was an American meteorite collector, a self-taught meteoriticist and an educator who revived
interest in the scientific study of meteorites in the 1930s. He assembled the largest personal collection of meteorites up
to that time. He founded the American Meteorite Museum, which was first located near Meteor Crater, Arizona (1942-53), then
in Sedona, Arizona (1953-60).
